The Spur was created in 2007 by Asher Spiller and Scott Sheppard. As many things often do, The Spur came about in the midst of discouraging circumstances followed by rejuvenated spirits. Co-conceived from apartments in Brooklyn, New York and Tours, France, The Spur now finds its home in the bosom of West Philadelphia. We do not have an agenda and we do not have a message, but merely a sneaking suspicion that now, as always, is the perfect time to write, read and above all, think.
